“After three days they found him in the temple.”
-Luke 2:46
Today’s Gospel story from Luke tells the story of when Jesus became separated from his parents in Jerusalem after the celebration of the Passover. As a parent recalling when my children were young, I can identify with their terror in not finding their young son and their mix of shock and joy in finding him after three days. As my children are now grown, I can also identify with the terror of losing their adult son to a painful, tortuous death after the celebration of the Passover, and then the mix of shock and joy in finding him again after three days.
I pray we all find Christ, whether after three days or at any other point in our own journey. Amen
Amen 🙏
