When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have established; what is man that You are mindful of him? Yet You have made him little less than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.
St. Francis of Assisi prayed, “Be praised, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars; in the heavens you have made them, precious and beautiful. Be praised, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air, and clouds and storms, and all the weather, through which you give your creatures sustenance.” The prayer, like Psalm 8, gives praise to the God of Creation. That same God created us, in His likeness and in His image, bestowing upon us His glory and His honor. His breath gave us life. Give glory to God.
