*author’s note on Sunday readings reflections in Advent*

“When the Church celebrates the liturgy of Advent each year, she makes present the ancient expectancy of the Messiah. For by sharing in the long preparation for the Savior’s first coming, the faithful renew their ardent desire for his second coming.”
-Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) 524

In preparation, then, the Sunday readings reflections posted during advent will provide a very brief focus on each of the four weeks of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.

May our hearts be filled with anticipation for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
