If in need of water why do I present a glass filled with vinegar?
I have seen the water’s source
and know who serves it
genuinely thirsting for its refreshment
I have the knowledge though am unprepared to receive.
The vessel I present is already full
and I fight to let go of that which fills it
unable to empty it of that which I know
I walk away parched, clinging to a glass filled with vinegar.
That’s an awesome poem! Blessings, Tim!

Why does that vinegar seem so much more palatable at times than drinking from the source of all refreshment and renewal?
