Deep Blue

After the moon sleeps but before the sun awakens
Lies an unmistakable Deep Blue
A moment of ambiguity when night has yet to surrender to morning
Life’s rhythm sings the same hue
A time of unknowing anxiety and apprehension
Anxiously waiting within a queue
Languishing within the tension of the repeated high strings
Hoping a low note breaks through
Recall that by clinging to Him who brings forth the morning
With His light we begin anew

  1. Good Morning God! You are ushering in another day, untouched and freshly new…. your words matched my thoughts as I gazed out at the rapidly rising Flathead river this morning. The sun was just peeking over the side of the mountain as it rose through the Bad Rock Canyon. I missed the dark to clear blue light of dawn this morning but did catch the first rays of sun – and as always – they gave me renewed hope.
