Just a dude in the pew

I lack the knowledge of a theologian
I lack the peace of a contemplative
I lack the zeal of an evangelist
I lack the holiness of a saint

But still

I am thankful for God’s grace
I am thankful for Jesus’ sacrifice
I am thankful for the teachings within the Word
I am thankful for the love of those around me

Know this

I write reflections to tell of what He has revealed
I write prayers to bring forth His Word
I write poems to give voice to entangled thoughts
I write to give all glory and honor to Him alone

To live

I know to follow three rules
I know to love God
I know to love others
I know to refer always to the previous two
