Before the light breaks
Alone in prayer
Silence before Him
Until a distant owl
Signals what is to come
Then a solitary bird chirps her readiness
As if announcing something special
A glimmer of day peeks over the horizon
Revealing fog over the pond
The birds call out in celebratory chirping
As together we watch
This gentle blur
Envelope the landscape
Morning light deftly
Sneaks beneath the blur
Coolly lifting it off the grass
The birds cheer its rising
Previously unseen geese
Noisily clap off the pond
Trumpeting what follows the rising
Brilliantly lit blue sky
Decorates what had been blurred
All a prayer of celebration
Of His creation
Thanks Tim,
It amazing how many different “voices” God uses to touch our hearts; to reach our minds,
