“Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.” (Ephesians 5:8-9)

I have long been fascinated and awed by the moon’s glow in the night sky. It is beautiful. Interestingly, though, the moon’s essence is that it reflects light from another source. And it is the same with me. I cannot claim my place in the Christian faith without being a living reflection of Christ’s light. I will shine brightly here on earth when I live according to God’s Word and to the teachings and example of Christ. When I choose this path, my life will be rightly ordered, working for goodness, and living in truth. It will be beautiful.

Lord Jesus, let your light shine through me so to proclaim the Good News! May I live according to your Word and seek to follow the Father’s will for my life. Living in truth, may goodness and righteousness be with me wherever you lead me. Amen

  1. When we look in a mirror, do we see Christ reflected? Or are “objects in the mirror farther than they appear?” When people view our lives, do the see the reflection of Christ? But most importantly, when Christ looks into our heart, what does He see? Blessings to you brother.
